Paige Spiranac Explains Why She Continues To Post HEATERS (Photo Gallery Included)
Let me start out by saying that I respect the hell out of Paige. Not only is she really good at what she does, but she’s also a super positive person. I’ve gotten to know her a little bit through social media and she’s really awesome. Total package, if you will.
Today, she wrote a blog for Myrtle Beach Golf talking about body positivity and how being featured as a Sports Illustrated Model changed her mindset. Basically, she’s explaining why she posts heaters on Instagram and why she doesn’t give a shit if anybody tells her she shouldn’t. (Paraphrasing, folks.)
Certainly everyone has more to contribute to this world than their physical appearance. However, we all have a body, and of that body we should be proud! Yes, the human body is beautiful – in all shapes, sizes, and colors. And yes, that body does some incredible things for us. So why do we spend so much time trying to hide it?
She’s saying it really nicely and politically correct, because she’s just a good person and doesn’t want to attack anyone. I’ll say it differently…
Any woman who claims to be a feminist and shames other women for stuff like this is a FRAUD. If you want to post heaters on IG, do it. If you work hard on your body and want to show it, fuck everybody who says you shouldn’t. People will call them thirst traps. Whatever. Who cares. It doesn’t affect their lives. Do whatever the hell you want despite the haters, of which there are many.
When I complimented Paige on her blog today, she said it’s pretty sad that we even have to talk about letting women wear what they want which is why she wanted to speak out.
But, unfortunately, we do have to talk about it. Let’s not forget a certain somebody calling into Barstool Radio last year to try to tell Paige she shouldn’t be posting pictures of her body because she should be a role model for younger women.
Ya, because body positivity and being comfortable in your own skin is such a bad message.
Moral of the story: 1. I like Blog Paige and 2. Post whatever you want.
I now refuse to let others tell me that I can’t share pictures of myself enjoying a gorgeous beach. I won’t be shamed into hating myself for the way I look. I choose to embrace all the wonderful experiences that come with having a body, and that includes laying in the sand and feeling the ocean waves while I’m in Myrtle Beach.
So, this year, let’s all try to spend less time tearing ourselves and others down and more time being encouraging, so we can spend that time with our face to the sun.
Preach, girl. Preach.
Oh and of course her blog includes a photo gallery. You’re welcome.
PS – Myrtle Beach using her to model their beaches is big brain kinda stuff.
Again, I truly do love the message Paige is spreading. Body positivity is important. Doing whatever you want despite backlash is important. Being confident with yourself is important.
I’m biased, but I think everybody should be a big fan of hers. I know one guy who definitely is…
Shoot your shot, Jose. Shoot. Your. Shot.
